Mercury Commerce Releases Shopping Cart Functionality for MUNIS

Adds Web Catalog Portal to MUNIS Requisitions

Horsham, PA, February 22, 2010 Mercury Commerce Solutions, a market leader in online procurement solutions for public sector organizations, announces the release of Online Shopping Cart functionality for users of the MUNIS Financial System from Tyler Technologies. Available now as an add-on to MUNIS Release 7.4, clicking the Online Shopping link will launch the Mercury Commerce Web Catalog Portal.

With no additional login, MUNIS users have secure access to hosted vendor catalogs and Dynamic Link™ Punch-out catalogs, showing their organization’s products and pricing. After shopping in the Mercury Commerce Web Catalog Portal, the user submits their shopping cart, which populates the MUNIS Requisition. The Requisition then completes as normal in the MUNIS Finance System.

Mercury Commerce has developed two additional integrations between easyPurchase™, Mercury Commerce Solutions’ complete web purchasing application, and the MUNIS Finance System. Each provides a flexible interface for encumbrance accounting to meet individual customer needs. This Version 3 interface for Online Shopping is the direct result of customer input. “Working closely with MUNIS since 2005, we can be very responsive to customer needs,” said Dan Corazzi, President of Mercury Commerce. “Customers have told us that easy to use, online access to their vendor community - with a very rapid return on investment – is key.”

The Web Catalog Portal has been designed to offer convenient online access to an organization’s vendor information. With attractive pricing for MUNIS customers, the Mercury Commerce Web Catalog Portal provides the right technology at the right price for these difficult economic times.

The Mercury Commerce Web Catalog Portal for MUNIS is immediately available.
