Local Government Corporation Partners with Mercury Commerce for Electronic Procurement Solutions

Mercury Commerce and Local Government Corporation to Integrate e-Procurement with Financial Systems

Columbia, TN and Horsham, PA, October 27, 2008, Mercury Commerce Solutions™, a leading provider of online procurement solutions for schools and governments, and Local Government Corporation, a leading computer services firm providing solutions to schools and governments, today announced a technology partnership. Under this new agreement, Mercury Commerce e-Procurement solutions will be integrated with Local Government Corporation’s financial systems.

The companies announced that they are integrating the Mercury Commerce easyPurchase™ web-based procurement solution with LGC’s FlexGen™ and Zortec™ financial systems. “We know from experience that capturing transactional information and communicating with general ledger systems satisfies the most critical aspects of financial management,” said Dan Corazzi, President of Mercury Commerce Solutions.

In addition to its purchasing solutions, the Mercury Commerce sealed bidding and quoting solutions are also included in the agreement with Local Government Corporation. “Our sourcing solutions help schools and governments conform to business rules,” said Corazzi. “These solutions can save real money for LGC customers, that can be returned to under-funded programs.”

Mercury Commerce e-Procurement solutions are immediately available to Local Government Corporation customers.
